The PADI Divemaster certification is the entry point to professional diving, teaching you to lead and supervise dive activities. It involves knowledge development, water skills, and practical applications, preparing you to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities. The course emphasizes leadership, dive safety, and risk management. It covers topics like the role of a Divemaster, supervising dives, diver safety, Divemaster-led programs, the business of diving, and dive environment awareness. You’ll practice mapping sites, conducting dive briefings, organizing search and recovery projects, leading deep dives, and assisting with Discover Scuba Diving programs.  Upon successful completion, you become a PADI Divemaster, eligible to work in dive centers, resorts, and on dive boats.

Requirements:

  • Age: You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Certifications: Hold a PADI Rescue Diver certification (or equivalent), PADI Emergency First Response (or equivalent) within 24 months, and have a medical clearance to dive.
  • Dive Experience: Have at least 40 logged dives before starting the course.
  • Physical Fitness: Be able to swim 400 meters (yards) non-stop and tread water for 15 minutes.
  • Skills: Demonstrate all scuba and skin diving skills, with a minimum score of 82 points total and at least one underwater skill to a 5.
  • Dive Briefing: Successfully complete a dive briefing, demonstrating control and supervision.
  • PADI e-learning course (offered and paid separately)
